My Favorite Daniel Wellington Watch

This summer I went through a major closet detox (highly recommend) and while organizing my jewelry collection, I realized I didn’t have an “adult” watch. It may sound silly, but I was just starting a new job, and I thought that a nice watch would be a great addition to my closet.

I went back and forth for a while debating if I should get an Apple Watch or a more classic timepiece. I wanted something that looked really nice, but also wouldn’t cost me an arm and a leg. Eventually, I settled on the classic timepiece option over the Apple Watch and decided to get a Daniel Wellington Petite Melrose watch.

Now, as I write this I realize I don’t know exactly which size watch I have. Although the name says “petite” it comes in two different sizes – a 28mm and a 32mm. (The store I purchased mine from only had one available in this particular set of colors I wanted.) Comparing mine to the pictures on the website, I feel like it’s a safe bet to say that I have the 32mm.

What really drew me to the Daniel Wellington is that they offer different interchangeable straps. The black dial pops against the rose gold strap that I currently have, but if I wanted to I could switch it out for a brown leather strap for a more casual look. I styled my watch in my white tee shirt post a while back if you want to see it paired with a casual outfit.

I wear it multiple times a week and I’m pleasantly surprised at how well it matches so many different outfits. I love how minimalistic the style is, but how it can still elevate an outfit. If you’re in the market for a new watch, I would absolutely recommend this one!
